His early influences include video gaming music such as Dance Dance Revolution. Robinson has collaborated with many vocalists and musical groups, such as Amy Millan, Breanne Duren, Lemaitre, and Urban Cone. On April 10, 2012, he released a single entitled “Language” under Big Beat Records. He signed for only EP deal with OWSLA in 2011. Robinson is entirely a self-taught artist who began producing at the age of just 12 years. In 2017, Robinson was nominated at the inaugural Electronic Music Awards for Single of the Year and Live Act of the Year. In 2019, Robinson was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for his single entitled “Ghost Voices.” In 2017, he began to release music under the alias Virtual Self and released the self-titled EP. The album also peaked at number one Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums. In 2014, Robinson released his debut full-length studio album entitled Worlds.
